Musical saw - Le S, la révélation du jour

Flex-a-tone is the sort of sound I am after. So, in the same family of sounds, I looked into the musical saw. I made a rough bow and tried to play one carpenter saw that was around and could not make much of it before I read this tutorial.

So, everything is in the S shape. Wow. Such a nice sound. That said, the physic of if is streakily not straight forward. I don't seam to be able to reproduce on other pieces of metal I have around, that have more of a rectangular shape, maybe it is that.

And you know what, a flex-a-tone as a S shape too.

Révélation du jour....

SEGMENTS of my portefolio?

I worked on SEGMENTS

Looks similar to what I did for some cyberperformances with Youtube, but that is made with Vimeo, and as they have different API, I had to redo it all, mainly.

Yesterday

I just realised that yesterday

 - I presented my work to some art students

 - I got invited for a radio show about sound art

 - I received and email to ask me for a show in November

 - I have been asked to have a new project with VibraLib

 - I burnt a power supply. The second this week. First one was my laptop's, now one for the my motors, thanks to incredibly clear chinese motor data-sheet

 - I have two new Max/MSP clients

Today my though went from musical saw, to surface transducers and hexagon:
